I did like to ask how I can go about the implementation of a customized notification even when the phone is locked.
e.g., i have this service that helps with push notification already.

But, I did like to know how I can go about the implementation of something like the attached image below.
the appearing of notification on lock screen is started from lollipop version.So you need to set priority max or high of notification then it will be shown on lock screen when device is locked and also will be shown as heads up notification.

When I receive the notification I would like it to automatically disappear and have to upload manually I, Thank you in advance.

My print lines in notificationButtonAction do not print, not even the "notificationButtonAction Started."
I followed the tutorial from Brevity Software (http://www.brevitysoftware.com/blog/how-to-get-heads-up-notifications-in-android/), but their code didn't seem to work.

Turns out, I didn't add the class to the manifest. My code was fine.

Now if user tap on notification, SplashScreen activity is launched (it's first activity of my app). this is ok if user has close the application, but if application is in foreground, tapping on notification cause restart of app.
There's a fast way to check if app is in foreground, and if yes, launch a different activity thant SplashScreen?

I was wondering if anyone has some experience with with this type of Notification.
In my use case I want to trigger a notification from my Service and than it should open a fullscreen video. The method setFullScreenIntent look just the right thing for this problem because in the documentation it writes:
An intent to launch instead of posting the notification to the status bar. Only for use with extremely high-priority notifications demanding the user's immediate attention, such as an incoming phone call or alarm clock that the user has explicitly set to a particular time.
So it says it works like an incoming phone call. That means even if my phone is asleep I should get to see the notification in full screen.
But in my case I just get the heads-up notification and if I click on it it opens the activity. Even thought in the docs they mention something about this behavior ...
On some platforms, the system UI may choose to display a heads-up notification, instead of launching this intent, while the user is using the device.
... I want to know how to automatically open the activity when the notification is triggered. Just like the incoming phone call screen.

My app plays music and when users open notifications screen by swiping from the top of the screen ( or generally from the bottom right of the screen on tablets ), I want to present them a button to stop the currently playing music and start it again if they want.
I am not planning to put a widget on the user's home screen, but just into notifications. How can I do this?
You can create an intent for the action (in this case stop playing) and then add it as an action button to your notification.

I will try to provide a solution that I have used and most of the music player also use the same technique to show player controls in notification bar.
I am running a service which is used to manage Media Player and all its controls. Activity User control interacts with Service by sending Intents to the service for example

Create a BroadCastReceiver class to receive the data when button is pressed.
