I want to implement Whatsapp image compression in my andorid app.
I am suing following code in onActivityResult function to save my image:

But my app crashes when i try to perform this function. While debugging i saw that after line:
Bitmap bmp = BitmapFactory.decodeFile(imageUri, options);
bmp is equals null, and that outHeight and outWidth from Options are equals 0.
Please help, I am struggling with this problem for few days and i can't find solution..

I want to compress the image size before uploading So I use the below code. It's working till Android 10 but is not working for Android 11, So how can I solve this?
compressImage() , getFilename() , getRealPathFromURI() , calculateInSampleSize()
Hopefully, inside the getFilename() method > uriSting variable , their is something wrong. So how can I solve this problem or is there any way to compress the image size before uploading?

There is a problem when taking photo using camera on samsung devices in the landscape (http://prntscr.com/fx29hs)

I am trying to take a picture or select it from gallery, compress it and save it in a separate folder on my phone. The photo is taken and put into the imageview but I can't find it in gallery, even after couple of minutes. What might be the problem?

You can do this by using Bitmap.compress() method. Here is a sample code which shows how you can achieve the same:
Code to scale Image as Aspect ratio:
