I am receiving this error when updating targetSDKVersion to android oreo
Error:Failed to find target with hash string 'android-O' in: C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk
Install missing platform(s) and sync project
when I am clicking on "Install missing platform(s) and sync project", it is showing a popup with this message.
I updated android SDK but it keep showing this popup.
Needed solution for this.
To fully test your app's compatibility with Android P and begin using new APIs, open your module-level build.gradle file and update the compileSdkVersion and targetSdkVersion as shown here:
android {
compileSdkVersion 28
defaultConfig {
targetSdkVersion 28
}
...
}
Read Set Up the Android P SDK.
I've got this issue while updating to the latest Support Library version 26.0.0 (https://developer.android.com/topic/libraries/support-library/revisions.html#26-0-0):

compile 'com.android.support:design:' + ANDROID_SUPPORT_LIBRARY_VERSION
compile 'com.android.support:recyclerview-v7:' + ANDROID_SUPPORT_LIBRARY_VERSION
Any ideas?
I was able to resolve it by updating sdk version and tools in gradle
compileSdkVersion 26
buildToolsVersion "26.0.1"
and support library 26.0.1 https://developer.android.com/topic/libraries/support-library/revisions.html#26-0-1
Change
Compile SDK Version:
compileSdkVersion 26
Build Tool Version:
buildToolsVersion "26.0.1"
Target SDK Version:
targetSdkVersion 26
Dependencies:
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:26+'
compile 'com.android.support:design:26+'
compile 'com.android.support:recyclerview-v7:26+'
compile 'com.android.support:cardview-v7:26+'
Sync Gradle.
I had to change compileSdkVersion = 26 and buildToolsVersion = '26.0.1' in all my dependencies build.gradle files
In my react-native project, this error is generated in the react-native-fbsdk. Updating the react-native-fbsdk/android/build.gradle as following fixes the issue.
compileSdkVersion 26
buildToolsVersion "26.0.1"
I hit this exact same error and was Googling all over trying to find what I'm doing wrong as that is generated build values-26 code and not styles that I provided. I tried everything from Gradle 4.0 to Android Studio preview 3.0 to canary channel, you name it.
I never found the answer online. In the end, I was able to go back to standard Dev Android Studio and 2.3.3 Gradle as I ended up accidentally fixing it :).
Turned out I was so focused on updating my library project that I was not noticing that the error was caused from an unused sub module (demo app) that is nested in my library project. Once I updated the sub module to match the 26 build tools and 26+ design and support libraries my problem went away.
Not sure if that is what you are seeing as well, but personally I was only updating the lib to release again so wasn't caring about the sample app module, and the error sure appeared to be related to 26 sdk which I only touched in the lib module so wasn't thinking to check the other one. So that was the problem all along for me. Hopefully that fixes you as well. I had this error in 2 library projects and it fixed it in both.
Goodluck either way and if this doesn't resolve your issue, please share what did. BTW 26.0.01 build tools and 26.1.0 design and support is where I ended up going to in the end, although 26.0.1 worked fine as well.
I had this exact error and I realized the my compileSdkVersion was set at 25 and my buildToolsVersion was set at "26.0.1".
So I just changed the compileSdkVersion to 26 and synced the Gradle. it fixed the problem for me.
EDIT: my targetSDKVersion was also set as 26
I've had a similar error for react-native-youtube & react-native-orientation.
Figured out, that the build.gradle of those Project use compileSdkVersion 23 but the Feature: android:keyboardNavigationCluster was added since api 26 (android 8).
So how to fix?
One way to fix this easily is to edit your /android/build.gradle ( !!! NOT /android/app/build.gradle) and add those code at the bottom of the file.
This allow you to force the SDK and BuildTool-Version your submodules use:
subprojects {
afterEvaluate {project ->
if (project.hasProperty("android")) {
android {
compileSdkVersion 27
buildToolsVersion "27.0.2"
}
}
}
}
I also faced this issue you just need to make 2 changes:
File Name : android/build.gradle mention this below code
subprojects {
afterEvaluate {
project -> if (project.hasProperty("android")) {
android {
compileSdkVersion 26 buildToolsVersion '26.0.2'
}
}
}
}
File Name :android/app/build.gradle
change your compliesdk version and buildToolVersion like this:
compileSdkVersion 26 buildToolsVersion "26.0.2"
and in
dependencies {
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:26.0.2'
}
I had the same issue with my Ionic 2 project, all I did to resolved the issues was
Open "ionic_project_folder/platforms/android/project.properties"
Change target=android-25 to target=android-26
Run ionic build --release android
Hope this helps someone!
//Adding this to the root build.gradle solved my problem, thanks #Yalamber
subprojects {
afterEvaluate { project ->
if (project.hasProperty("android")) {
android {
compileSdkVersion 26
buildToolsVersion '26.0.2'
}
}
}
}
After updating your android studio to 3.0, if this error occurs just update the gradle properties, these are the settings which solved my issue:
compileSdkVersion 26
targetSdkVersion 26
buildToolsVersion '26.0.2'
I updated my project app/build.gradle to have
compileSDkVersion 26
buildToolsVersion '26.0.1'
However, the problem was actually with the react-native-fbsdk package. I had to change the same settings in node_modules/react-native-fbsdk/android/build.gradle.
In android studio, right click on the project (since I had a Cordova project, I had CordovaLib and android: I selected android in my case),
Select Open Module Settings
In the Project Structure modal that pops up select the project in the modules section in the side panel (again android in my case)
Click on the Dependencies tab
Click on the green plus button in the top right corner
Select Library Dependency
Select app-compat-v7 from the dropdown
Clean project and rebuild
I hit this recently and remember where it comes from. It's a mismatch between the Xamarin.Android.* version and the installed Android SDK version.
The current VS2017 15.5.3 new project defaults for nuGet Xamarin.Android.* are 25.4.0.2 and the default VS install for cross platform development are the following Android SDK packages:
Android 7.1 - Nougat
Android SDK Platform 25
Google APIs Intel x86 Atom System Image
If you upgraded you solution nuGet for Xamarin.Android.* to 26.1.0.1 then you will need to install the follow in the Android SDK:
Android 8.0 - Oreo
Android SDK Platform 26
Google APIs Intel x86 Atom System Image
I was facing the same issue for one of my PhoneGap project (Android studio 3.0.1). To resolve this I have followed, the following step
1) Right click on Project name (In my Case android), select "Open Module Settings"
2) Select modules (android and CordovaLib)
3) Click properties on top
4) Chose Compile SDK version (I have chosen API 26: Android 8.0 )
5) Choose Build Tools Version (I have chosen 26.0.2)
6) Source Compatibility ( 1.6)
7) Target Compatibility ( 1.6)
Click Ok and rebuild project.
The following link shows my setting for step I have followed
https://app.box.com/s/o11xc8dy0c2c7elsaoppa0kwe1d94ogh https://app.box.com/s/ofdcg0a8n0zalumvpyju58he402ag1th
when you try to change targetSDKVersion 26 to 25 that time occurred
i was found solution of No resource found that matches the given name: attr 'android:keyboardNavigationCluster'. when updating to Support Library 26.0.0
Just Chage This code from Your Build.gradle
configurations.all {
resolutionStrategy.eachDependency { DependencyResolveDetails details ->
def requested = details.requested
if (requested.group == 'com.android.support') {
if (!requested.name.startsWith("multidex")) {
details.useVersion '26.0.1'
}
}
}
}
to
configurations.all {
resolutionStrategy.eachDependency { DependencyResolveDetails details ->
def requested = details.requested
if (requested.group == 'com.android.support') {
if (!requested.name.startsWith("multidex")) {
details.useVersion '25.2.0'
}
}
}
}
I got this issue when compile react-native-fbsdk
I resolved this issue by change build.gradle of react-native-fbsdk
from
compile('com.facebook.android:facebook-android-sdk:4.+')
to
compile('com.facebook.android:facebook-android-sdk:4.28.0')
This issue was caused by one of the libraries for me that needed version 26 for compilation.
Making the targetSdkVersion to 26 will cause other issues and you will have to tweak your app to adapt to the Oreo platform. This is not the correct solution for all.
Just making the compileSdkVersion to 26 and buildToolsVersion to 26.0.2 worked for me.
One should also update all of their support libraries to use 26.1.0 or later.
update these in gradle
compileSdkVersion 27
buildToolsVersion '27.0.1'
I resolved this issue by making some changes in build.gradle file
Changes in root build.gradle are as follows:
subprojects {
afterEvaluate {
project -> if (project.hasProperty("android")) {
android {
compileSdkVersion 26
buildToolsVersion '26.0.1'
}
}
}
}
Changes in build.gradle are as follows:
compileSdkVersion 26
buildToolsVersion "26.0.1"
and
dependencies {
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:26.0.1'
}
For anyone using nativescript and facing this issue: you can add
compileSdkVersion 26
buildToolsVersion '26.0.1'
in App_Resources/Android/app.gradle (under android {)
Then run tns platform remove android and tns build android in your project root.
Make sure you have Android SDK 8.0 on your development environment. I was having the same issue on my MAC and installing SDK 8.0 and its tools fixed it. I am having the same issue on Windows. I am downloading the SDK now.
i had the same issue with ionic .
cordova platform remove android
cordova platform add android#6.4.0
And replace in platform/android/projet.properties
cordova.system.library.1=com.android.support:support-v4+
To
cordova.system.library.1=com.android.support:support-v4:26+
For this you have to do below things
1.right click the project click.
2.open module settings->in properties tab->change the compile sdk and build tool version into 26,26.0.0.
3.click ok.
Its working for me after an hour tried.
I solved this problem by doing the following:
compileSdkVersion 26
buildToolsVersion "26.0.1"
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:26.0.1'
compile 'com.android.support:design:26.0.1'
compile 'com.android.support:cardview-v7:26.0.1'
compile 'com.android.support:recyclerview-v7:26.0.1'
Just clear your project and build again.
./gradlew app:clean app:assembleDebug
But it not works when targetSdkVersion or compileSdkVersion is 25.
I've always programmed Android with Eclipse and decided to start migrating to Android Studio. I decided to use the same SDK I already had for Eclipse, then:
Started a new project
Set minimum SDK 4.0 (API Level 14)
Choose Blank Activity option
Used Default names for Activity Name and Layout Name
Hit Finish
After a few seconds Gradle finishes the build, and it throws me two errors with the following messages in file Teste4\app\build\intermediates/exploded-aar\com.android.support\appcompat-v7\23.0.0\res\values-v23\values-v23.xml:
Error:(2) Error retrieving parent for item: No resource found that matches the given name 'android:TextAppearance.Material.Widget.Button.Inverse'.
Error:(2) Error retrieving parent for item: No resource found that matches the given name 'android:Widget.Material.Button.Colored'.
Under File -> Project Structure -> Modules: app (left column) -> Properties tab, I have the following versions set up:
"Compile Sdk Version": Android 5.1 (API Level 22)
"Build Tools Version": 23.0.2
What should I do in order to fix this?
I already tried what was suggested in Stack Overflow question appcompat-v7:21.0.0': No resource found that matches the given name: attr 'android:actionModeShareDrawable', but it didn't work.
Your compile SDK version must match the support library's major version.
Since you are using version 23 of the support library, you need to compile against version 23 of the Android SDK.
Alternatively you can continue compiling against version 22 of the Android SDK by switching to the latest support library v22.
This happens because after updates Android Studio uses API version 23 by default.
The following worked for me:
Press Ctrl + Shift + Alt + S to get to the project structure page. Go to the properties tab and change 23.0.0 to 22.0.1 (or equivalent to what you were using earlier) in the build tool area and rebuild your project.
If that doesn't work, go to gradle:app and then
compile fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: ['*.jar'])
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:22.2.1'
Edit v7:23.0.0 to v7:22.2.1 as shown above and sync gradle. This will definitely work.
When you update your Android Studio, it uses API version 23 by default,
which is the main reason for its occurrence. So,
At first, check your AppCompat version in build.gradle(Module:app)
That is,
If after changing to 23 there occurs an error then just download
Compile Sdk Version to API 23, and Build Tools Version to 23.0.0
from SDK Manager. If already downloaded then:
1. Go to SDK Manager and
2. Under Project Structure, change *Compile SDK Version* to API 23, and *Build Tools Version* to 23.0.0
Click the SDK Manager Button and open the dialog.
Click SDK Platform and check if Android 6.0 is downloaded or not.
if not, then download that first. After completing the download, click Apply.
Now you need to apply changes to your project from setting.
Then press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + S to open setting
Click the app from the list.
Click properties
Change your Compile SDK Version to API 23
Change your Build Tools Version to 23.0.0
Don't forget to rebuild your project.
Then your error will be gone.
If you've tried to change target to a previous GooglePlayServices or AppCompatv7 version and it doesn't work, check if you have any project-libraries dependency, this project will be targeting the latest version of any of these libraries. It happened to me with the Google Maps Utils Library project:
replace:
compile 'com.google.android.gms:play-services:+'
to
compile 'com.google.android.gms:play-services:8.3.0'
Then you can continue full targeting API 22
If it still doesn't compile, sometimes is useful to set compileSdkVersion API to 23 and targetSdkVersion to 22.
I agree with the previous answer. Your compile SDK version must match the support library. Here is what I did.
You can go to SDK Manager and under SDK Platform, install the Android 5.X with API level 23.
Under Project Structure, change compile SDK Version to API 23, and Build Tools Version to 23.0.0
Then it should build without problem.
You need to set compileSdkVersion to 23.
Since API 23 Android removed the deprecated Apache Http packages, so if you use them for server requests, you'll need to add useLibrary 'org.apache.http.legacy' to build.gradle as stated in this link:
android {
compileSdkVersion 23
buildToolsVersion "23.0.0"
...
//only if you use Apache packages
useLibrary 'org.apache.http.legacy'
}
This issue is raised because now the compile SDK version must match the Android Support library's major version.
In my case i have the Android Support Library version 23, so i had to compile against the Android SDK version 23, and I had to change this in my build.gradle file:
Well some of you will need to install the SDK, Android 6.0 (API 23)
and don´t forget to Sync project with gradle files
android {
compileSdkVersion 23
buildToolsVersion '23.0.1'
defaultConfig {
applicationId ""
minSdkVersion 14
targetSdkVersion 22
versionCode 1
versionName "1.0"
}
buildTypes {
release {
minifyEnabled false
proguardFiles getDefaultProguardFile('proguard-android.txt'), 'proguard-rules.pro'
}
}
}
dependencies {
compile fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: ['*.jar'])
compile 'com.google.code.gson:gson:2.3.1'
compile 'com.android.support:recyclerview-v7:23.0.0'
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.0.1'
}
I found the solution, Problem started when I updated sdk, after that I used different buildToolsVersion ('22.0.1') and I was using different support library like compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.0.0', showing you in image below
This was raising problem of "android.widget.Material..."
Then I used same version for support library like compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:22.0.1' and its DONE. (Showing you in below screenshot)
You should compile your project with latest version so update & install from your SDK. Sync your project with sync project with Gradle file Button.
You can also continue with the existing version but check it installed properly below image indicate to API 22 that is properly installed.
And sync your project if needed.
it may help.
As pointed out by Tanis.7x, the support library version (23) does not match the targetSdkVersion (22)
You can fix this by doing the following:
In the build.grade file of your app module, change the following line of code
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.0.0'
To
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:22.+'
This will use the latest version of the appcompat version that is compatible with SdkVersion 22.
Your compile SDK version must match the support library major version. This is the solution to your problem. You can check it easily in your Gradle Scripts in build.gradle file.
Fx: if your compileSdkVersion is 23 your compile library must start at 23.
compileSdkVersion 23
buildToolsVersion "23.0.0"
defaultConfig {
minSdkVersion 15
targetSdkVersion 23
versionCode 340
versionName "3.4.0"
}
dependencies {
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.1.0'
compile 'com.android.support:recyclerview-v7:23.0.1'
}
And always check that your Android Studoi has the supported API Level. You can check it in your Android SDK, like this:
In my case it was an higher version of Google-play-services. I set them to 7.0.0 (not 8.x) and all was ok.
I wanted to downgrade from API 23 to 22 and got this error. I had to change all build.gradle files in a project in order to compile.
android {
compileSdkVersion 22
buildToolsVersion "22.0.1"
defaultConfig {
applicationId "com.yourapp.app"
minSdkVersion 14
targetSdkVersion 22
}
...
dependencies {
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:22.2.1'
compile 'com.android.support:support-v4:22.2.1'
compile 'com.android.support:design:22.2.1'
compile 'com.google.android.gms:play-services-gcm:10.0.1'
}
This is what helped me: Adding specific android platform
What should be done is the following... In my case it was cordova but the same is relevant for ionic, phonegap and other frameworks like these:
list all platforms installed for your project: cordova platform list. You'll see something like this:
remove the android platform: cordova platform remove android.
then add the specific android platform: cordova platform add android#5.0.0.
Good luck! :)
I got the same problems. I solved my problem by updating gradle.build for each sub-module to latest compiler version.
Another solution :
navigate to
\sdk\extras\android\m2repository\com\android\support\appcompat-v7\23.x.x
open .aar file with 7-zip or winrar , in res folder remove values-23 folder and save changes .
on module: app (Gradle)
apply plugin: 'com.android.application'
android {
compileSdkVersion 21
buildToolsVersion "21.1.2"
defaultConfig {
applicationId "com.namepack.nameappxxxxx"
minSdkVersion 16
targetSdkVersion 21
versionCode 1
versionName "1.0"
}
buildTypes {
release {
minifyEnabled false
proguardFiles getDefaultProguardFile('proguard-android.txt'), 'proguard-rules.pro'
}
}
}
dependencies {
compile fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: ['*.jar'])
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:21.0.3'
}
project: nameAppXXXX (Gradle)
buildscript {
repositories {
jcenter()
}
dependencies {
classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:1.2.3'
}
}
allprojects {
repositories {
jcenter()
}
}
and edit your activity of AppCompatActivity to for example Activity:
package com.namepack.nameappxxxxx;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.support.v7.app.ActionBarActivity;
import android.view.Menu;
import android.view.MenuItem;
public class NameClass extends ActionBarActivity {
#Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.main_activity);
}
}
Everything is great but none of you explained where to download the SDK build tools
Make sure that all these are in upto date.
Upgrade Android Studio.
I had this issue with Android Studio 1.3.1 and none of the other answers worked for me, but after updating to 1.5.1 there were no problems.
If you are using phonegap(cross-platform) and got same issue above,
just remove the android platform using below command.
phonegap platform remove android
And add it again.
phonegap platform add android
Then problem solved for me.
If you are getting errors even after downloading the newest SDK and Android Studio, here is what I did:
Download the most recent SDK
Open file-Project structure (Ctrl + Alt + Shift + S)
In modules, select app
In the properties tab: Change compile SDK version to API 23 Android 6.0 marshmallow (latest)
I hope it helps someone so that he won't suffer like I did for these couple of days.
As others have already mentioned your compile sdk version must match your support library's major version. This is however, also relevant for subprojects should you have any.
In case you do, you can set your subprojects compile sdk versions with the following script:
subprojects { subproject ->
afterEvaluate{
if((subproject.plugins.hasPlugin('android') || subproject.plugins.hasPlugin('android-library'))) {
android {
compileSdkVersion rootProject.ext.compileSdkVersion
buildToolsVersion rootProject.ext.buildToolsVersion
}
}
}
}
Add this script in your root build.gradle file.
Since a new API of Android 6.0 is available in SDK Manager a hint was appeared in application level build.gradle file to update
FROM
androidTestCompile 'com.android.support:support-annotations:22.0.1'
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:22.0.1'
TO
androidTestCompile 'com.android.support:support-annotations:23.0.0'
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.0.0'
I haven't downloaded new update from sdk manager for Android 6(API 23) yet but still changed the following details as shown below,
BEFORE
compileSdkVersion 22
buildToolsVersion "22.0.1"
targetSdkVersion 22
androidTestCompile 'com.android.support:support-annotations:22.0.1'
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:22.0.1'
AFTER
compileSdkVersion 23
buildToolsVersion "23.0.0"
targetSdkVersion 23
androidTestCompile 'com.android.support:support-annotations:23.0.0'
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.0.0'
As I haven't downloaded new API 6.0 yet, following error occurred
Error:Cause: failed to find target with hash string 'android-23' in: C:\Users\DRONE\AppData\Local\Android\sdk
So now again I changed the setting in application level build.gradle file as what it was before, but the error is not being resolved.
Same error is occurring.
How do I solve this now?
Normally it is caused by not having API 23.
After updating the SDK to the newer version, it often rewrites build.gradle to the highest API version SDK provided even if you didn't upload it.
The easiest way - download API 23.
I think it may caused by you don't have 23 API, Go to Tools > Android > SDK Manager and check to see if API-23 is installed.
Try to add a "+" for example:
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.+'
You have also to update your Android Studio APIs (as Kun said).
Yes as others have mentioned you need to install API-23 through the SDK Manager but it's a long list of downloads and if you don't want to install all of them right away, you can just install the one named "SDK Platform" under API-23

Under File -> Project Structure -> Modules: app (left column) -> Properties tab, I have the following versions set up:

Since API 23 Android removed the deprecated Apache Http packages, so if you use them for server requests, you'll need to add useLibrary 'org.apache.http.legacy' to build.gradle as stated in this link:
android {
compileSdkVersion 23
buildToolsVersion "23.0.0"
...
//only if you use Apache packages
useLibrary 'org.apache.http.legacy'
}
This issue is raised because now the compile SDK version must match the Android Support library's major version.
In my case i have the Android Support Library version 23, so i had to compile against the Android SDK version 23, and I had to change this in my build.gradle file:
Well some of you will need to install the SDK, Android 6.0 (API 23)
and don´t forget to Sync project with gradle files
android {
compileSdkVersion 23
buildToolsVersion '23.0.1'
defaultConfig {
applicationId ""
minSdkVersion 14
targetSdkVersion 22
versionCode 1
versionName "1.0"
}
buildTypes {
release {
minifyEnabled false
proguardFiles getDefaultProguardFile('proguard-android.txt'), 'proguard-rules.pro'
}
}
}
dependencies {
compile fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: ['*.jar'])
compile 'com.google.code.gson:gson:2.3.1'
compile 'com.android.support:recyclerview-v7:23.0.0'
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.0.1'
}
Fx: if your compileSdkVersion is 23 your compile library must start at 23.
compileSdkVersion 23
buildToolsVersion "23.0.0"
defaultConfig {
minSdkVersion 15
targetSdkVersion 23
versionCode 340
versionName "3.4.0"
}
dependencies {
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.1.0'
compile 'com.android.support:recyclerview-v7:23.0.1'
}
I had to change all build.gradle files in a project in order to compile.
android {
compileSdkVersion 22
buildToolsVersion "22.0.1"
defaultConfig {
applicationId "com.yourapp.app"
minSdkVersion 14
targetSdkVersion 22
}
...
dependencies {
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:22.2.1'
compile 'com.android.support:support-v4:22.2.1'
compile 'com.android.support:design:22.2.1'
compile 'com.google.android.gms:play-services-gcm:10.0.1'
}
Another solution :
navigate to
\sdk\extras\android\m2repository\com\android\support\appcompat-v7\23.x.x
open .aar file with 7-zip or winrar , in res folder remove values-23 folder and save changes .
on module: app (Gradle)
apply plugin: 'com.android.application'
android {
compileSdkVersion 21
buildToolsVersion "21.1.2"
defaultConfig {
applicationId "com.namepack.nameappxxxxx"
minSdkVersion 16
targetSdkVersion 21
versionCode 1
versionName "1.0"
}
buildTypes {
release {
minifyEnabled false
proguardFiles getDefaultProguardFile('proguard-android.txt'), 'proguard-rules.pro'
}
}
}
dependencies {
compile fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: ['*.jar'])
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:21.0.3'
}
project: nameAppXXXX (Gradle)
buildscript {
repositories {
jcenter()
}
dependencies {
classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:1.2.3'
}
}
allprojects {
repositories {
jcenter()
}
}
and edit your activity of AppCompatActivity to for example Activity:
package com.namepack.nameappxxxxx;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.support.v7.app.ActionBarActivity;
import android.view.Menu;
import android.view.MenuItem;
public class NameClass extends ActionBarActivity {
#Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.main_activity);
}
}
In case you do, you can set your subprojects compile sdk versions with the following script:
subprojects { subproject ->
afterEvaluate{
if((subproject.plugins.hasPlugin('android') || subproject.plugins.hasPlugin('android-library'))) {
android {
compileSdkVersion rootProject.ext.compileSdkVersion
buildToolsVersion rootProject.ext.buildToolsVersion
}
}
}
}
Add this script in your root build.gradle file.
