I'm new at programming on Android and still learning. I'm having a problem right now which is my RecyclerView is not working properly. When I'm running my apps it's not showing any error at logcat. The problems are:
Sometime it will load all the items, but sometime it will just showing blank screen so I usually press the back button and enter the activity again and it will load the items.
Sometimes it loads the item but I can't do anything about my recyclerview. I can't click or scroll the RecyclerView.
And sometimes it just works 100% without error.
I'm using CardView in my RecyclerView and I'm using the Retrofit library.

I'm trying to start this activity_main.xlm after a user's registration flow, but when I click on the button, the app closes. I work a little time with Android but I couldn't identify this error.

You should not get the support action bar before setcontentview is called.
Simply, move getSupportActionBar().hide(); after setContentView(R.layout.activity_main); and it should not crash anymore
Also please provide crash logs in the future, so we can debug quicker
I have found some questions regarding this issue here but none of them helped to solve my problem. Recycler view works fine but there is issue in lollipop version. It works perfectly in an activity but doesn't show or scroll when used inside fragment. My fragment screen appears blank but the tap listeners in recycler view's adapter is working. When I migrated my fragment code to an activity, it worked fine. I am using 28.0.0 Here is my xml code.

God Damn! After being stuck in this issue for 2 whole days, I finally found the solution. It was because I was using FragmentTransaction.TRANSIT_FRAGMENT_FADE when adding fragment inside activity. Removing the transition solved my problem

The problem is, that the root layout of your item (the root LinearLayout at skills_items.xml) has height of match_parent. This messes up the way RecyclerView does the scrolling event calculations.
Also, it is generally advised against using wrap_content for height or width of the root layout for an activity and for wrap_content for height (if scroll is vertical) or width (if scroll is horizontal) of RecyclerView or ListView.
when I scroll the listview the items changed automatically, in other word an item override other item's view like : when I click on favorite button other items has been changed like this

isVoter and viewHolder should not be global variables within the Adapter. Meaning, you are not actually changing whatever member is returned by newsItemArray.get(position).isVoter()
Try adding the position to the ViewHolder object. Then pass the ViewHolder object into the constructor of the viewHolder.vote.setOnClickListener. Within the OnClickListener you can then call
isVoter = newsItemArray.get(viewHolder.position).isVoter();
newsItemArray.get(viewHolder.position).setVoter(!isVoter);
