Image on xml in Android Studio stretches abnormally height wise

Edit: The problem with my image is of resolution so higher the resolution the more blank space there is. But I can't get the right resolution. If the resolution is too high the problem is right here and if it is enough to fit the image to a 720p display then the image quality is so bad on QHD or higher displays. I can't seem to find any other solution on the internet other than the resolution thing so please help!
The image I put on XML has no visible layout_marginVertical. I did not put that attribute there and if I do write that it does put that margin vertically resulting in a confused situation. This happens even though I wrapped all the content. This is the image I inserted in my code:

Make BottomNavigationView stay under other view

I've implemented BottomNavigationView (BNV). My BNV always stay on top of other view, how can I make it stay under other view?

Fragment container layout overlapping main activity contents

I am trying to add a custom header in my main activity that already contains a bottom navigator and a framelayout that acts as a container for the fragments i want to display.
The below given code contains a Linearlayout["#+id/application_header] that should act as the application header, however the header is displayed by the fragment container[#+id/main_container] is overlapping the header.
Tried the properties android:layout_below and android:layout_above but it is still overlapping.

android:layout_below and android:layout_above work with RelativeLayout. BTW, the LinearLayout with only one TextView is redundant. You can just use TextView. Here are some options on how to get that done.

Solved it my self, although there might other clean solution and would be accepted as answer if found feasible.
I just added android:layout_marginTop="50dp" which is same as the height of element with id - #+id/application_header
PS- i don't know if this would effect screens with different sizes and my testing device is only 5.5 inches to which the solution worked perfectly.

You can also make the layout align center of the screen by adding this :
android:layout_centerInParent="true"
also add a padding or margin incase there is any small amount of overlapping

View overlap Toolbar

I am trying do transparent toolbar that has to overlap other view. But conversely other view overlap toolbar.
In xml I specially used margintop for RelativeLayout that show overlapping. Actually I don't use marginTop for RelativeLayout.

You are using FrameLayout which is basically for holding a single child. You cant manage the alignment of childrens in FrameLayout.

How to remove this gap from the Android layout

I tried everything that I could to remove this gap (shown in the screenshot below) from the bottom of the layout, however got nothing but disappointment!

Here is the screenshot, where you can clearly see a small horizontal gap left at the bottom of the screen.
How to fix that?

Remove android:layout_marginTop="-4dp" from your layout.

DrawerLayout acts as a top-level container for window content that
allows for interactive "drawer" views to be pulled out from the edge
of the window.
You should not use that RelativeLayout as the top-level.that could be something like this with adding Toolbar in your contents:

Also, i'd rather to use CoordinatorLayout nowadays with SupportLibrary.
One more thing, your design is completly wrong i guess, RecyclerView is going to be like NavigationDrawer and that's not what android docs says.

Remove android:layout_marginTop="-4dp" as others have stated. I'm guessing that you mean android:layout_marginTop="4dp" anyways.
If you want a margin between the View and the ViewPager just set a bottom margin to the View element.
The reason is that android:layout_height="0dp" and android:layout_weight="1" is working but then you are setting a negative top margin which is moving up the element.

try removing the android:layout_weight="1" of viewpager and replace android:layout_height="0dp" with android:layout_height="match_parent"
