Android studio 4.0 editor window is gone

I'm using Android studio v 4.0 on windows 10 (1909) build. Every thing was working fine till last evening my code editor window just disappeared.
I'tried followings
Restart & invalidate cache
Check for updates
Reset default layout (shift+F12) [window -> Restore Default Layout]
Tried Dragging file into center to open (editor never appears but breadcrumb updates for each file selected or opened screenshot given below
Many other components are also effected like
Logcat showing nothing
Event Log showing nothing
Build & Sync showing nothing
One more strange thing is I'm unable to open settings [File -> Settings] (it shows nothing)

I got this error in Android Studio IDE
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: TextHitInfo is out of range
and then my text editor windows was gone. Restart and clear caches did not help.
On Mac this restored my editor window:
go to <Project-Folder>/.idea/
delete workspace.xml
close and reopen project.

While going through logs found this.

#Andy you were right, deleting following folders fixed the issue.
C:\Users\user.AndroidStudio4.0\config\plugins
C:\Users\user.AndroidStudio4.0\config\cache
Although on first start studio thrown an exception but on next restart every thing was fine

I recently updated my Android Studio and now, I am unable to create a new activity/fragment in Android Studio

for some reasons, I am unable to create a new Activity/Fragment.

Try File-> Invalidate Cache/Restart as Android Studio caches lots of File, clearing this might help.

JavaToKotlinConversionProvider mostly occurs when
1-You are using older version of Android studio
2-Kotlin Plugin not installed or updated(see this by going Settings-> Plugins -> Kotlin )
Try using 1.3.31 kotlin version solve your issue by updating version in your build.gradle file

just Update Android studio 3.4 then problem will be solved

How to resolve an IDE error in Android Studio?

I have a problem with Android Studio 3.2.1. The IDE error appears when I want to add onClick Event Handler. It also doesn't create a function. I tried to do this: https://www.quora.com/How-can-I-resolve-an-IDE-error-in-Android-Studio

As of now, there is no solution in Kotlin. But, works fine in Java.

I have Reloaded the Plugin and even installed Android Studio on another Device but I am still getting the same error. Does anyone have a fix for this?

It seems that reverting to 3.1 Fixes the issue, Checkout From Version Control -> Google Cloud works again. Is this an error in the latest build (3.2.1)?

Nullpointer on new activity wizard

I'm studying Android through the Udacity. I'm on the Intents Lesson, "Exercise: Create an Activity" and one of the part of the Lesson is to create a new Activity using the wizard of Android Studio.
What happens is: I go to the New > Activity > Empty Activty and then the ugly Null Pointer appears.
"Exception in plugin Android Support. Moments ago. Ocurred 5 times since the last clear. Unread. Disable plugin".
What I've already tried:
Changing buildToolsVersion
Installing Android Studio 2.3 Beta (I'm on the latest stable version: 2.2)
Invalidate Caches/Restart
Importing another project
Checked my JAVA_HOME (1.8.0_92-b14)
Reported the problem to Google
Disabled the plugin (when I did that, showed a lot of errors, so I rolled back the change)
None of these solved my problem. Can anyone help me?
