Search Bar for a seperate fragment

I have made different fragments inside one Activity (Home.java) on which toolbar and navigation drawer is there.
Right now I thought to put searchview inside fragment.We usually write all code related to searchview inside oncreateoption menu. I have done the same thing but oncreateoption is made inside fragment.
I'm not getting any error but searchbar is not be shown over the toolbar.

Inside your fragment's onCreate()/onCreateView() call setHasOptionsMenu(true);
This will allow your fragment to show the menu items you inflate inside the fragment's onCreateOptionsMenu(); otherwise it uses the host Activity's menu.

Navigation Drawer on click of menu icon search in Fragment

I Implemented the Navigation Drawer in my Fragment but it always shows a grey padding above it .Same was the case with Fragment but i removed it by adding android:fitsSystemWindows="false". But this fails to remove the padding above the Navigation Drawer . How can i avoid this ?

Contextual action bar not showing sellection

I'm trying to implement a Contextual Action Bar (CAB) but whenever I long click an item it is not showing the item as selected (highlighted) so I'm not able to select multiple items to batch delete either. Below is the fragment attempting to utilize a CAB.

If you are implementing custom adapter you need to implement Checkable layout for listview item.
Check this Github page
which explains implementation of Checkable layout with demo adapter.
Use in in your custom list item layout like:
<your.package.CheckableLayout ... />

-Hey correct me if i am wrong I found in your code that you are implementing OnItemClickListener instead use AdapterView.OnItemLongClickListener as you wants you action on Long Click item.

How to dynamically add user input into a listView within a fragment?

Im trying to add text into a listview within a fragment but i keep getting an error: cannot find symbol method setListAdapter(ArrayAdapter).

I am new to android development.I am trying to create an activity method on clicking a button.
