Not able to connect adb Android Studio to 3.4.1 - android

unable to connect to adb.check the event log for a possible issue, verify that localhost entry is pointing to 127.0.0.1 or:: 1 for ipv4 or ipv6.
Getting an error while running my sample application in android device.
ADB error on a fresh installation of android studio.

Finally I got answer for my own question. This is due to some Windows OS update issue. Please follow the below step to confirm.
Goto C:\Users\bn\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\platform-tools
Open command prompt from this location and type, adb devices
If you get below error dialog, then the problem is with your windows setup and not any issues with Android Studio.
adb command error
Solution:
Download the package for your Windows version from below link. In my case I have downloaded "All supported x64-based versions of Windows 8.1" package and installed the exe. Once installation is complete check the adb command. It should work.

Android Studio - Unable to open debugger port: java.io.IOException

I am stuck in a problem here.
I cannot attach debug using Android Studio 3.5.1.
Its keeping showing me the message "Error running 'Android Debugger (8600)': Unable to open debugger port (localhost:8600): java.io.IOException"
I tried a lot of things like:
adb reset
invalidate
restart windows
reinstall android studio
and none of them works.
And I cannot find Enable ADB Integration on this version.
Anyone knows how to fix it?
EDIT
Debugging with emulator is working with all versions.
Debugging with devices is working only with devices with Android 9.0+
Kill and start adb didn't work.
I dont think its a local problem because its happen with a lot of people here. Its seems to be a project problem
You might check this 3 things:
1.
Youre not running a not debuggable version.
android:debuggable="false" in Android Manifest
2.
In Android studio you re not building a release version
Check in Build variants in bottom left corner.
3.
If nothing works use Troubleshoot device connections
Tools -> Connection Assistant
or older version
Tools -> Troubleshoot device connections
And try out the helper page from google (seems for older versions)
https://developer.android.com/studio/run/device#assistant
Try this:
adb kill-server
adb start-server
adb usb
For linux, e.g., ubuntu: start all commands with sudo like this:
sudo adb kill-server.
its your connection issue, cant find your device DNS.
what is your OS ?
In windows:
you must go to network and find duplicate dns and clear it (Search for
it)
In mac:
you must kill adb or delete that and run a new version
last hit is Update emulator in sdk
.First you need to check your build.gradle(app) file , and ensure that your build is debuggable.
.If debuggable then you need to check adb is working or not in your system, you can
check by just press 'adb' .
if its working then check devices by 'adb devices', it will show all connected devices.
add kill-server then enter and adb start-server
Try this. I have had luck with this approach when I run into problems with adb.
You can check if the device is recognised or not using
adb devices
If it is indeed recognised you may try to kill adb and start it again
add kill-server
adb start-server

Daemon not started in Android Studio

Please don't mark this as a duplicate question.
When i m trying to run app in emulator or in real device everytime it throws an exception
Unable to connect to adb. Verify that your localhost entry is pointing to ip4 or ip6 respectively Android
For getting solution i dig google and tried the solution using
adb tcpip 5555
adb connect 127.0.0.1:5555
But every time it catch the same exception.
daemon not running; starting now at tcp:5037
adb F 05-03 12:32:21 9776 7156 main.cpp:45] cannot open C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Temp\adb.log: Permission denied
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Advanced help would be appreciated!
Open command Prompt use following commands
adb kill-server
adb start-server
adb devices // it will shows the device id if its connect success
if not showing the device restart android studio and mobile then execute the command again it will work
Finally i found an answer.
There was my silly mistake. While i was set JAVA_HOME path by
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_211\bin
So just i needed to remove \bin. The correct path is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_211
Further i started Android Studio as Run as Administrator.
First, try running adb.exe in at the sdk/platform-tools. If it's not working then probably your adb.exe is broken. Then you need to download the sdk again or you can replace the platform-tools folder from some another pc. I also face that problem with Android Studio 3.4.

React native error in launching app with android emulator

I get following error when I run react-native run-android in CMD(windows command prompt)
Could not install the app on the device, read the error above for details.
Make sure you have an Android emulator running or a device connected and have
set up your Android development environment:
https://facebook.github.io/react-native/docs/android-setup.html
What caused This problem?
Thanks in Advance.
check your device connected or not by execute below command in cmd
adb devices
if adb not found then open below dir
C:\Users\MANGO\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\platform-tools
then check device connected or not
then you can lunch your app
i hope it solve your problem
Set the sdk platform tools path in system variable inside Enviroment variable.
With this you can check the connected devices from command promt.
Note: Make sure you have connected your device to PC with USB debugging On from developer menu. You can follow this link
Then follow following steps.
From command prompt type " adb devices ", if you are connecting the real android device first time then inside your device there will be a RSA key generated which you have to click "OK".
Then to confirm from devices you can again type adb devices if all went good it will show your device.
Move to your project folder from command prompt and then run your app from command prompt.

adb error in android studio

I've tried every proposed solution on the internet and nothing is working. Android studio was working fine then one day out of nowhere it kept giving me this error on every project
unable to locate adb
I tried navigating to my adb.exe and kill-sever and restart it but the adb.exe directory is not in my platform-tools folder under sdk.
I've tried uninstalling android studio and reinstalling it. A post suggested that it could be my AVG security but that was not the issue. I've tried updating the platform-tools and it freezes here
Close android studio.
open a command window.
type adb devices
no devices?
trouble shoot connection and drivers and device developer option
see a device?
type adb shell
type ls -l
type su
su not found? download or activate your superuser app
no problems with any step?
open android studio and try again with it's terminal emulator

adb socket not working and daemon

I am getting this type of error
error: could not install smartsocket listener: cannot bind to

my genymotion device is running but it shows me that no device
I came across the same error. I provided the below command and the issue got solved.
COMMAND :- taskkill /f /im adb.exe
Close Eclipse or Android Studio if either is running (Optional).
Open Command Prompt.
Go to the Android SDK platform-tools directory.
Type adb kill-server.
Type adb start-server.
If no error message is thrown while starting ADB server, then adb is started successfully.
OR
Go to Task Manager, open the Processes tab, and end the adb.exe process.
Then restart Android Studio.
This may work if there is any problem with adb.
In my case, none of the above solution worked. I solved it strangely maybe it can be a bug.
Do not run Genymotion emulator before Android Studio. Firstly, I opened android studio then I clicked run project and select deployment target windows appeared. Then I run genymotion emulator and now the emulator is shown in the select deployment target windows in Android Studio. Then deployed to the emulator without errors. Done!
As another way, you can try to set Genymotion sdk to the same as Android studio sdk. To do this, first find your sdk location. You can find it by right clicking the Android Studio project -> Open Module Settings-> Select SDK location -> under Android SDK location, it is shown. Then open Genymotion -> Settings -> ADB tab -> Click Use custom Android SDK tools radio button -> navigate to SDK folder used by Android studio -> Restart Genymotion virtual device
If none of the above worked for you, just make sure that you have closed Genymotion emulator as it caused this issue with me.
Easiest Way! I just ran into this issue trying to connect a React-Native App to an Android Studio emulator. If you read the error message it tells you that "Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted." So you can assume that something other than React-Native is also attempting to connect to the emulator.
Terminate The Connections:
Leave the emulator running.
Close out of and uninstall any Android Studio/Eclipse Apps you have on the emulator. This terminates apps trying to connect.
Close Eclipse or Android Studio if either are running. Android Studio doesn't have to be open in order for the emulator to work (This is important). This terminates software trying to connect.
After doing so I went back into my React-Native App and connected to Expo no problem.
All you have to do is terminate all connections. However you so choose.
I came across the same error, it worked simply after restarting the AS on windows, of course, it asked for SDK update.
Android Studio 4.1.3 with API 30 installation has this error
01-04-2021
09:56 'C:\Users\ranja\Android\Sdk\platform-tools\adb.exe start-server' failed -- run manually if necessary
Tried C:\Users\ranja>adb start-server
daemon not running; starting now at tcp:5037
**could not read ok from ADB Server
failed to start daemon
error: cannot connect to daemon**
Note: I have added 'C:\Users\ranja\Android\Sdk\platform-tools' in %PATH% environment variable on Windows 10
i've encountered same error in my ionic 2. i just uninstall and reinstall ionic. and it works fine again..
npm uninstall -g ionic
npm install -g ionic
