Import source code of lineage os to Android Studio - android

I want to import source code of Lineage OS to Android studio, for that I am executing below commands
source build/envsetup.sh
then I am executing below command
make idegen && development/tools/idegen/idegen.sh
After executing the above command, I am getting below error
/home/amit/android/lineage/out/s.../android/lineage/out/soong/build.ninja

Does anyone have an idea, how to resolve this issue, thanks

I had the same error after following the LOS instructions for using Android Studio. I fixed it by lunching my lineage project:
source build/envsetup.sh
lunch lineage_XYZ-eng
make idegen && development/tools/idegen/idegen.sh
"lineage_XYZ-eng" is defined in my vendorsetup.sh at the root of my LOS device tree.

How to fix cp issue during build with ninja?

I am currently compiling a custom recovery for an android phone. Sources are synced, device tree etc. all set up correctly. Now I am facing a rather banal-looking error during build. cp refuses to copy a directory, because -r is not specified in the build file.
I obviously tried to find the build file (rw_recovery/out/build_omni_daisy.ninja) and add the -r argument, but it seems to be regenerated at the beginning of every build process, as the process still fails and the previously changed line appears unchanged when opening the file after the attempted build.
These are the build steps:
. build/envsetup.sh
lunch omni_daisy-eng #config for the device
mka bootimage #device uses boot.img as recovery
This command leaves me with the following error:
[ 99% 6883/6884] Prebuilt (rw_recovery/out/target/product/daisy/kernel)
FAILED: rw_recovery/out/target/product/daisy/kernel
/bin/bash -c "(rm -f /home/luca/rw_recovery/out/target/product/daisy/kernel) && (cp rw_recovery/out/target/product/daisy/obj/KERNEL_OBJ/arch/arm64/boot/ rw_recovery/out/target/product/daisy/kernel )"
cp: -r not specified; omitting directory 'rw_recovery/out/target/product/daisy/obj/KERNEL_OBJ/arch/arm64/boot/'
ninja: build stopped: subcommand failed.
17:13:06 ninja failed with: exit status 1
I would love to hear any suggestions about how to force ninja to execute the command with -r. Alternatively, suggestions about where to find the file from which the above mentioned build file is recreated after executing mka command are much welcomed as well.

I am not able to build .so file

I am trying to make an app for object detection using tensorflow and I am following the instructions as listed in this website:
https://www.skcript.com/svr/realtime-object-and-face-detection-in-android-using-tensorflow-object-detection-api/
But I have run into build errors.
I am making an android application for detecting objects using tensorflow API and I have followed all steps as mentioned in the above link. I am using Windows 10 for coding, not any Linux distro. I tried building the app using bazel but there are build errors.
Here's the command as instructed from the above website:
bazel build -c opt //tensorflow/contrib/android:libtensorflow_inference.so --crosstool_top=//external:android/crosstool --host_crosstool_top=#bazel_tools//tools/cpp:toolchain --cpu=armeabi-v7a
After running, it starts compiling and does 1069 processes, but after reaching 1068/1069 it displays the following:
ERROR: C:/sri/sritrain/tensorflow-master/tensorflow/contrib/android/BUILD:60:1: Linking of rule '//tensorflow/contrib/android:libtensorflow_inference.so' failed (Exit 1)
external/androidndk/ndk/toolchains/arm-linux-androideabi-4.9/prebuilt/windows-x86_64/lib/gcc/arm-linux-androideabi/4.9.x/../../../../arm-linux-androideabi/bin\ld: fatal error: bazel-out/armeabi-v7a-opt/bin/tensorflow/core/kernels/libandroid_tensorflow_kernels.lo: pread failed: Invalid argument

INFO: Elapsed time: 3148.512s, Critical Path: 443.26s

FAILED: Build did NOT complete successfully
I scoured through the internet and found a small modification so I typed:
bazel build -c opt //tensorflow/contrib/android:libtensorflow_inference.so --crosstool_top=//external:android/crosstool --host_crosstool_top=#bazel_tools//tools/cpp:toolchain --cpu=armeabi-v7a --cxxopt=-std=c++11
However this returns an error even before the previous command did:
ERROR: C:/sri/sritrain/tensorflow/tensorflow/contrib/android/BUILD:60:1: Linking of rule '//tensorflow/contrib/android:libtensorflow_inference.so' failed (Exit 1)
external/androidndk/ndk/toolchains/arm-linux-androideabi-4.9/prebuilt/windows-x86_64/lib/gcc/arm-linux-androideabi/4.9.x/../../../../arm-linux-androideabi/bin\ld: fatal error: bazel-out/armeabi-v7a-opt/bin/tensorflow/core/kernels/libandroid_tensorflow_kernels.lo: pread failed: Invalid argument

It is supposed to create a .so file on my computer but it doesn't.
I SOLVED IT!
I found the problem was that i was using the ndk-bundle from under Android Studio's folder and it was the latest ndk. I downloaded an older ndk version android_ndk_r15c and ran the command:
bazel build -c opt //tensorflow/contrib/android:libtensorflow_inference.so --crosstool_top=//external:android/crosstool --host_crosstool_top=#bazel_tools//tools/cpp:toolchain --cpu=armeabi-v7a --cxxopt=-std=c++11
So the build was completed successfully!

Which bring me to the point the issue may lay down in the environment.
VirtualBox, 8gb RAM, 160gb space, Ubuntu 18.04
Does anyone have a proposal what might go wrong here?
Try running export LC_ALL=C before building.
I had a similar error when building on Ubuntu 18.04.

What am I doing wrong? I'm on Ubuntu Server 16.04.
Alright, the problem probably was because I abruptly interrupted the build process because of a hang, and then tried to continue building from there.
I did a make clobber && brunch angler and it built successfully.
