when I try to launch my app it throws the error, I am using cloud firestore for my database.
I have created a custom class object in which it should return the database stored in my firestore database.

Simple application that scans Wi-Fi networks.
This one for a reference: Get available wi-fi scan result in customized listview
Just put a ListView in a layout and add ACCESS/CHANGE_WIFI_STATE permissions into manifest.
The problem is that it works on my Samsung J3 (2016), but I don't know why it doesn't on my new Samsung M11. Has it something to do with Android versions? I have already returned a Realme C3 that was having same issues because I thought it was due to Mediatek SOC.

Solved. I had to add FINE_LOCATION to the manifest and:
Manually give location permissions in Settings.
or
Make a popup that asks for location permissions the first time the user launch the app.

DownloadManager - Download Fails Even with Proper Permissions

Running Android 9 (28) in an emulator, and can't seem to get my application to download anything. I've made sure the correct permissions are assigned, but it still says "Download unsuccessful."

Edit: I should have mentioned this originally, but Android Studio doesn't output an error when compiling.
Edit 2: I tried with a small txt file (https://www.w3.org/TR/PNG/iso_8859-1.txt) and it worked! I also found that trying to download a small txt over regular HTTP does not work. A ZIP file over HTTPS still doesn't work either, though.

Edit 3: Looks like I can download any size file (zip or txt) over HTTPS, but not over HTTP. Not sure if this is just standard behavior for DownloadManager.

I already added the
<meta-data

inside my application tag.
And I made sure to include the classpath 'com.google.gms:google-services:4.3.0' dependency and apply plugin: 'com.google.gms.google-services' in my build.gradle. I'm not quite sure how to resolve this.

Screen freezes when using Record Espresso

I've been trying to use record espresso for a few hours now, but I just can't make it work on the project.
I've added:
androidTestImplementation 'androidx.test.espresso:espresso-core:3.1.1'
And I press run Record Espresso Test, and the screen just freezes at the first screen. It doesn't finish the activity, because it is a Splash screen. Even if I set another screen as a first activity it just freezes, it makes a request but doesn't show any results, or changes screen. I have animations turned off.

This are DEBUG Console logs. I tried it on another project and it was VERY VERY LAGGY. Am I missing something?

I had the same issue on Android Studio 4.1.1 using Pixel 3 API 29.
When the emulator is up, my application becomes stuck in blank screen (before the splashscreen)
Make sure that you had import Espresso dependencies:
