take a look at the javadoc for FirebaseOptions Builder in the Android client library:
com.google.firebase.FirebaseOptions.Builder
Now look at the same class from the java Admin SDK (note the URL is different):
com.google.firebase.FirebaseOptions.Builder
Remove this:
implementation 'com.google.firebase:firebase-admin:6.12.2'
You can't effectvely use the Firebase Admin SDK in an Android app. It's meant only for code that runs on backend servers and desktop machines.
Also, you should always make sure your Android client library dependencies are at the current versions shown in the release notes. Your Firebase-UI library versions should also match with the other Firebase libraries.

Unable to resolve dependency for ':app#debug/compileClasspath': Cannot convert URL 'com.google.android.gms:play-services-maps:17.0.0' to a file

I'm building the Google Maps demo from Android Coding on youtube. I built the app, but for some reason I keep getting the error message
Cannot convert URL 'com.google.android.gms:play-services-maps:17.0.0' to a file.
Here is my build.gradle(Project Google Maps Demo):

I think I have added the required dependencies but my system cannot resolve firebasedatabase How do I do it? I have been stuck here for quite a while now
Instead of using Realtime Database , Cloud Firestore will be advantageous if you are implementing Analytics try this :
>com.google.firebase:firebase-firestore:17.1.5
