I'm developing an app that use the AppAuth library.
https://github.com/openid/AppAuth-Android
In the app I click on a button that open a browser tab with the login page. After the login the website open a custom uri "com.myapp:/oauth2redirect" with data needed to app for the login.
In the devices with Google Chrome (after the login) the app appears, the browser is closed and the user continue to use the app.
In Huawei device with Huawei browser, a snackbar appears asking the user to open the app "The site would like to open APP". This snackbar disappears after 5 seconds. If the user click on the snackbar the browser is closed and the app appears, but if the user don't click it and close the browser the app don't receive the login params and nothing works.
For the users is more complicated because have to do more actions to do a simple operation that on Google devices is automatic.
Someone use AppAuth or custom uri scheme on Huawei devices? How to solve this problem?
Please Set device default browser to Chrome using Settings->Apps->Default Apps->Browser App
BTW, Could the app handle redirect URI with the following configuration as suggested by the app developer in link on HMS phone normally?

Android PWA standalone mode is unable to login with FB. Before the update you would just hit the button, there was a pop-up of fb and was returning to the PWA with access tokens but after the update it is asking which browser to open the pop-up and when you select any browsers, it opens the pop-up in that browser which resulting to turn back to PWA with no access token. The reason is access token is got by browser but PWA don't aware of it. Do you have any idea or is there anybody facing with same problem last few weeks?
I use an intent filter to allow deep linking to an activity of my application.
Like in the example given below:
https://developer.android.com/training/app-indexing/deep-linking.html
The redirection to my app works fine with Google Chrome and the Android Browser but when i use Firefox, the problem is that Firefox launches a new instance of my app, instead of redirecting me to the already launched instance of the app. Moreover the new launhed app seems to be running through Firefox.
The senario is the following:
1) I launch my app. If the user has forgot his credentials i send him an email.
2) The user goes to his email app.
3) In the email i sent to the user, there is an account activation link which also redirects him back to the application.
What could be wrong with Firefox?
Thank you in advance!
According to This Post, Firefox implements a less invasive experience to the user. When an url is opened which has a deep link to an app, the url bar displays a page action with a little Android head. Clicking on this one will open the link with an Android activity other than a browser.
The behavior of the Android browser and Chrome you observed and made your expectation.
i noticed that when I click on a Facebook App Url inside Facebook Mobile App on Android, the app is opened/redirect in the browser and not inside the Facebook app. Instead if I open the app in an IOS device, the app is opened inside Facebook app. Why? Can I have the same behaviour in Android device?
You can test the problem here:
Take an Android device
Open the facebook app and go to https://apps.facebook.com/1431973097077103 (you have to do a post with this link to click on it)
Android device redirect to browser, IOS device remain inside Facebook
Thanks!
It is possible to start an app and request some action from Chrome web-browser in Android:
Android Intents with Chrome - Google Chrome Mobile — Google Developers
https://developer.chrome.com/multidevice/android/intents
There is an example:
Take a QR code
I have tried to write something similar to start the GMail app. I have tried various versions, but all that happens is that the Google Play APP is opened showing GMail. Here is one attempt I have made:
Gmail, android.intention.action.VIEW
I would like to open the GMail app and do a search, but I can't even open it. ;-)
I suspect it can't be done. Gmail would have to be set to be "Browseable" which means it is able to be opened from the web and I don't see it in the manifest.

Possible Duplicate:
launch facebook app from other app
I'm looking to see if it is possible to do the the following:
To have an email with a social link to a Facebook page within it, but, upon clicking, it won't open your phones browser but the official Facebook app.
Anyone know if that is possible?
Thanks!
You can use these options:
fb://profile – Open Facebook app to the user’s profile
fb://friends – Open Facebook app to the friends list
fb://notifications – Open Facebook app to the notifications list (NOTE: there appears to be a bug with this URL. The Notifications page opens. However, it’s not possible to navigate to anywhere else in the Facebook app)
fb://feed – Open Facebook app to the News Feed
fb://events – Open Facebook app to the Events page
fb://requests – Open Facebook app to the Requests list
fb://notes- Open Facebook app to the Notes page
fb://albums – - Open Facebook app to Photo Albums list
and many more. As for android there may be something similar. It's possible the same URL's work for the newer versions of the Android FB app. I have no device to check with.
