Android Studio Emulator Disconnecting - android

I'm running Android Studio 4.1.1 on Windows 10 Pro with Hyper-V disabled.
I just upgraded to Emulator 30.5.4 and HAMX 7.6.5. Now when I try to
run the Emulator it disconnects on start up. Has anyone else run into something
similar? Thanks!

Try my documentation I wrote to setup your Emulator properly for an AMD CPU (Seems you have one).
For Intel you need to Uncheck the Use Host GPU checkbox - in the emulator settings. And also disable your Hyper-V in Windows Feature Settings
PS: If you use HP SureClick - remove it.
I keep that post updated, like all my posts, to ensure a complete solution. :)

Android studio - avd crashes

i'm using android studio in windows server 2016 and have next problem: for work task i need to start android device emulation. On windows 10 emulator works fine, but same steps on windows server cause problem -"the emulator process for AVD_Pixel3A was killed". What should i do?
p.s: hyper-V components not installed, virtualization is accessable.
You will need to to have the H-visuals turned on.. Also check to see that you have HAX installed. Also be sure to turn on developer mode within the computer... I would also run the program on a physical android device to see if you get the same issue.
Also if none of these work you might have to check to see if the server runs the minimum requirements. If it does you may have to reinstall Android Studio. I had this happened to me the other day. I uninstalled and reinstalled Android Studio and it fixed the issue.

Using Android Studio Emulator on Windows 10 Home

I'm kinda a beginner to Android Studio and I couldn't find a solution for this problem. I've always used Android Studio on my MacBook, but now I needed to use it in my PC. The problem is, when I try to run the emulator, it tells that I need to enable VT-x. I enabled it from my BIOS settings, but I also needed to enable it from control panel in system functions. The problem is that, reading around, I've found that Hyper-v function can be enabled only in Windows 10 Pro version, while I own a Home version. Now, I can't use Android Studio Emulator in my PC only cause I don't own Windows 10 Pro? That sounds kinda weird to me...
Some help would be really appreciated.
Android Studio Emulator runs on Windows 10 Home. In my case, HAXM was installed but only partially because virtualization was not enabled.
For HAXM to install correctly, Virtualization must be enabled on the Intel CPU and this can be done through the UEFI bios settings. It is normally disabled by default, so if this has not been specifically enabled it will probably still be disabled and HAXM installation will not finish installing.
You can download a cpu utility such as Speccy to see if the Virtualization status is enabled or disabled and then re-install HAXM after Virtualization is enabled. Android Studio Emulator should then run on Windows 10 Home without problems.

Android Studio and Ryzen CPU?

I know it could be marked as duplicate. But none of the threads helped me, so I decided to make my own.
I'm a Java back-end developer and I've decided to learn some Android stuff.
I worked on Android Studio several years ago having i5-4570 processor. Then I gave up. Now I see Android Studio is really really interesting, so I have downloaded it.
Now I have Ryzen 5 1600 processor. It's really great... but...
None of the Android emulators work for me.
What have I tried?
Android Studio built-in emulator. (Doesn't support AMD-V)
Microsoft Visual Studio Emulator (Crashes Windows 10 and bootloops motherboard till a hard-reset...)
Genymotion (personal use) emulator (Throws a BSOD with error SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION)
I don't have any idea what to do now, I don't want to use USB debugging solution because it's... weird and probably slow, because my phone is really old.
Any suggestions? I'm really starting to give up with android development by now.
Use Bluestack 3 or N (Beta). Works with AMD V hypervisor. Make sure your BIOS had enabled the SVM virtualisation settings. Start Android Studios after the Bluestack program is runnning. The android studios should detect the emulator and display the console messages when you finally start Android Studios. Works great on my AMD Ryzen 1600 now.
The processor you've mentioned is a new one. Maybe there aren't any emulators which can run with your processor. Since you haven't included Bluestacks, you may want to try it once.
Also Using a real Android phone is actually faster than using an emulator because while running an emulator the CPU is shared between Android Studio and the emulator which makes build process slower.
And if you feel weird because of the phone which is wired with a cable, you can use wireless debugging. Just search for it in Google or the play store.
Genymotion should work.
VirtualBox (the software behind Genymotion) still has some conflict problems when Hyper-V is enabled in Windows. Try to open the Genymotion emulator image in VirtualBox and under its Settings -> System -> Acceleration, try changing the Paravirtualization Interface and see if that helps.
If that doesn't work, Disable Hyper-V under Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off -> Hyper-V and try it again.
Please try new AndroidStudio 3.1.3 with windows 10
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=547DXRq8zAo
currently using Ryzen 1600 with ubuntu 17.10 on b350 motherboard
works like charm!!!
Also tested on Windows; butter smooth performance with the new drivers by Google
All Ryzen CPUs are compatible now for Linux as well as windows.
I asked Gennymotion n they said it should.
u need to enable amd-v in bios?

Android Studio AVD does not run

I have a very weird and incomprehensible issue with my android studio. I used to work with Android studio on my windows computer just fine, studio, AVD all were working just fine. A few days ago I had to install kali on a virtual machine on my that windows computer. Since then my android studio started weird behave. When I wanted to run AVD an error comes and say
Enable VT-x in your BIOS security settings, ensure that your Linux
distro has working KVM module.
but this is a windows 10 machine. After installing (again) HAXM error is gone however still I cannot open my AVD or in SDK manager I cannot click on Tools or any other option. I reinstalled Studio at least 10 times, but problems insist.
My computer runs on intel core i-7 with 16 GB memory as well as Intel HD 520 and NVIDIA Geforce 940M with 2 GB memory.
I tried all the options I can find in the internet nothing solved anything.
Thanks in advance.
Make sure, You've enabled VT-x in your BIOS configuration of your PC.
If it's not then follow
Restart system
Keep pressing esc key while starting to enter the recovery mode
Choose BIOS Option
Search for the VT-x or Virtual Technology, It'll be in security or Advance tab based on the system config
enable that.
Then try AVD in android studio. In my case it resolved my problem.

VT-X is not showing in bios and error for haxm in android installation

I am using Dell Inspiron 5521R system to install android development studio. I am getting an error "VT-x is not enabled" while during haxm installation. I checked in bios, there is VT-X option is not showing. Only virtualization option is there and it is enabled already. I also checked Hyper-V option in control panel and this one is also unchecked. but the problem is same as earlier.
I'm assuming you want this for the Android emulator to work properly.
Not really a solution as I tried a many things myself, but an alternative to the Android emulator is Genymotion. It worked for me where I never got Hyper-V to work.
I suggest Genymotion, it is faster, smoother than default Android Studio Emulators
Install Genymotion
Install Genymotion Plugin For Android Studio
Run Genymotion & click Red Button in the Android Studio (Which will appear after you install Genymotion Plugin for Android Studio)
Enjoy Developing
