how to fix Failed to apply plugin class 'org.gradle.language.base.plugins.LifecycleBasePlugin'

I am new to android studio but I build two simple AS projects already now I'm building a flutter project for a school assignment, this was the first time I experience it. If you could help me it help me a lot thank you.

The version 'com.google.gms:google-services:4.2.3' doesn't exist.
You can use one of these:
classpath 'com.google.gms:google-services:4.3.3'
classpath 'com.google.gms:google-services:4.3.2'
classpath 'com.google.gms:google-services:4.3.1'
classpath 'com.google.gms:google-services:4.3.0'
classpath 'com.google.gms:google-services:4.2.0'

Flutter: Execution failed for task ':app:processDebugGoogleServices'

I am not able to run my flutter app in android studio. I am using firebase to sign in and sign up user. So, accordingly, I have added the google-services.json file.
It is to be noted that my code does get render in the vs-code using ios simulator.
Following is my android/build.gradle file :
buildscript {
ext.kotlin_version = '1.3.70'
repositories {

}

classpath "org.jetbrains.kotlin:kotlin-gradle-plugin:$kotlin_version"
classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:3.6.1'
classpath 'com.google.gms:google-services:4.3.0'
}
}

subprojects {
project.buildDir = "${rootProject.buildDir}/${project.name}"
}
subprojects {
project.evaluationDependsOn(':app')
}
task clean(type: Delete) {
delete rootProject.buildDir
}
Now following is my android/app/build.gradle file:
def localProperties = new Properties()
def localPropertiesFile = rootProject.file('local.properties')
if (localPropertiesFile.exists()) {
localPropertiesFile.withReader('UTF-8') { reader ->

}
def flutterVersionCode = localProperties.getProperty('flutter.versionCode')
if (flutterVersionCode == null) {
flutterVersionCode = '1'
}
def flutterVersionName = localProperties.getProperty('flutter.versionName')
if (flutterVersionName == null) {
flutterVersionName = '1.0'
}

I have updated all dependencies. Used command Flutter upgrade and then used flutter doctor and it shows no issues. But when I run the app I get the above error in the terminal. Thanks for the help.
As previously pointed out, there's an unexpected character on the project's build.gradle file. Removing this should hopefully fix the issue. Another option that you can try to resolve build issues on Android is by regenerating platform-specific project files. To do so, you can delete the android folder, and regenerate the project files again by running flutter create --platforms=android on the terminal.

Anyone know what to do? I would really appreachiate the help!
What went wrong:
A problem occurred evaluating root project 'android'.
Could not find method google() for arguments [] on repository container of type org.gradle.api.internal.artifacts.dsl.DefaultRepositoryHandler.
as you can see from the above error log you're missing google dependency in your project level gradle
go to projectname/android/build.gradle and add the google dependency
