Code With Me plugin from JetBrains now works with Android Studio. However each version of the plugin is compatible with a specific build of Android Studio according to this page.
However, Android Studio download page lists only releases. How can I easily find out build number of each Android Studio version, so I could download a version that's compatible with Code With Me plugin?

When create a Cordova Android project by running Cordova prepare everything seems to be created correctly.
It creates a file called cdv-gradle-config.json with all versions that I want to use (the versions that are verfied from Cordova)
See picture
When I then open the project in Android Studio the build script and gradle seems to run fine. But Android Studio downloads Gradle wrapper 6.8 every time! Regardless of the version in the above file.
And when verifying all other versions for modules and dependencies in Android Studio they all seems to be unresolved:
Modules versions
more issues
And when looking into Gradle, it actually seems to be 6.8, but why is the version not fetched from the gradle config file created by Cordova?
Gradle versions
So my question is, why does it look like this? I have installed nodejs, Gradle and Cordova and they all work fine, except this behaviour.
I know I can just set the versions manually in Android Studio, but that's not the question, the question is why those dynamically versions from the config file doesn't work, and why Android Studio then "defaults" to 6.8 gradle. (I have 7.1.1 installed on my computer, which is verfied by gradle --version
Software used:
Windows 10
Cordova CLI 11
Android Studio 2020.3.1
Gradle 7.1.1 (installed on my machine.)
Gradle wrapper 6.8 (used by Android Studio, why is this??)
I had Genymotion plugin available in Android Studio plugins earlier. But after release of version 4.1.1 the plugin is missing from Marketplace.
I go to File --> Settings --> Plugins
Many plugins are displayed here. But when I type Genymotion in search box, it says - nothing found
How do I install the Genymotion plugin now.
I don't intend to manually download the plugin and install it from disk.
Genymotion Android plugin is not available from Android Studio marketplace with ver. 4.1.1 and above. You have to install it manually from https://www.genymotion.com/plugins/ or downgrade to a lower version of Android Studio.
On the guide for building Android projects offline, there is a link to the maven artifacts and gradle plugin for download. The instructions says they need to be unzipped and put in a directory called ~/.android/manual-offline-m2 and then create a script called offline.gradle the given code in ~/.gradle/init.d/offline.gradle.
This will probably be working fine for the latest stable version of Android studio, but since I am using Canary version 4.0.0-alpha07, I have no idea where to find android studio gradle plugin for this version of the IDE. The Android website obviously does not point to any download or archive to this version of the plugin. It only gives the download link for gradle plugin 3.5.0-beta01. Android Studio 4.0.0 Canary 7 does not accept this version of plugin although configure is successful when this version of plugin is applied in application build.gradle.
So, the question is how can I download (where) the gradle plugin for the latest Canary build of Android Studio?
you can download it from here https://nexus.xebialabs.com/nexus/content/repositories/public/. you need to recursively download the folder and files using wget.
for example
wget --continue --directory-prefix="location-to-save" --no-check-certificate --no-parent --recursive --timestamping "https://nexus.xebialabs.com/nexus/content/repositories/public/org/
you need to install wget first.
Can anybody provide me with the solution as I am trying to update my Android studio 2.2.3 to 2.3.1. While updating its shows following error and not allow me to update.
Thank you
Plugin web page clearly states on the bottom that the plugin is incompatible with Android Gradle Plugin from Android Studio above 2.2 versions.
Android Gradle Metrics
Your alternatives by the moment are:
Disable Android Gradle Metrics plugin (it will allow you to upgrade to Android Studio 2.3)
Keep Android Studio on 2.2
I just noticed that a new version of the Android Development Toolkit was released.
I also noticed that it dropped support for Eclipse version 3.4 which is what I develop on using Pulse to get my plugins. The update site no longer hosts the older version that did support eclipse 3.4 and below. This means I can no longer use my older version since the metadata was deleted.
Would it be possible to get an update site that supports the older Android Plugin so I can continue using eclipse 3.4 as mandated by my employer?
Cheers
Ray
You can get the older ADT plugins OK, but not the older SDKs. It's not publicised but there are links which work,For example
http://dl.google.com/android/ADT-9.0.0.zip
Versions 10.0.0, 8.0.1, 8.0.0 etc are all available in zip files (just change the URL to the appropriate version number). They're all listed on this page
