Google play update not working without providing more information - android

I've recently uploaded an update of an app and I am unable to install it. It only shows this dialog and no further info is provided. Contacting Google Support proved useless, so you're my only hope..
Sorry it's in Czech. It roughly translates as "Application MOU EDU cannot be installed. Try again and if the problem persists, read about common ways of fixing it."

Installing old uploaded APK from Google Play Console not working anymore?

I used to test migration problems via installing old APKs from google play console and then updating to the most recent internal test version.
Since at least a week this doesn't work anymore. Every share link to a specific APK just links me to the latest APK that is published. I'm talking about this share link:
So either the live production version, or as an internal tester the current internal test version.
Anyone else has this problem? I couldn't find anything about it online.
My personal fix now is to manually download the APK, install it via ADB and then update via playstore. But that's of course more annoying than just clicking a link.
I have been in contact with an agent from google for more than 1 month about this issue, first they insisted that it was not a problem, but I helped them to understand this issue with a few images. The agent who took care of me says that their technical team has been investigating this issue for a while.
It seems we have to wait until we get a proper fix. Until that, you can use this area to upload your apk and get a specific link for that:
https://play.google.com/console/u/0/internal-app-sharing
This part gave google play link for that build and still working on android devices without a problem.
Best!

At least one of your app or app bundles contain an actions.xml file

All of sudden google console started throwing an error message saying - "At least one of your app or app bundles contain an actions.xml file."
I have searched my entire app, there is no actions.xml.
Also used Analyze Apk tool of android studio to cross verify if any lib or other module may adding the actions.xml.
Here is one troubleshoot link from google (link) it describe the process To accept the Actions on Google Terms of Service.
But question remains the same that project doesn't contain any actions.xml.
Is it a console bug or I am missing anything.
This was very weird but when I tried to upload the apk after sometime it worked perfectly fine without any error messages.
As I rightly mentioned in the question there was no action.xml and action tag anywhere in my entire project.
It seems to be a console bug in my case.
It was a Google Play Console bug:
Thanks for your patience while our team investigated the behavior you experienced.
They have recently made some changes that should fix the problem. With the recent set of changes, please check to see if you are still experiencing the same issue. If so, I will be happy to see how else we can help.

Proper way to republish rejected android app

I am working on client project. I submitted the android app on play store from my account. It was showing on Play store. Than according to requirement i have to publish the app from client play console account. I removed app from my account and published the same app with different package name. Than it shows app rejected because of some family policy violation. I fixed this and resubmit the app. Now it taking a lot of time in reviewing the app.
I have tried to resubmit the app after editing the policies required by google.
I want to know how much time google will take to republish my app after reviewing it again.
Or How i can connect from google with any #support email.
It usually they review my apps within few hours... but... I feel there's something wrong inside Google and one of many emails I had from their support told me it's because there's a new review process for apps on the Family program. Well I will tell a little bit about my journey may give you some idea why you are having this problem.
We experienced this problem with 2 apps:
First App: I received a message saying that my update was rejected because of the violation on the Family program alleging that it was crashing or giving an error (pretty generic message without any detail at all), I enter in contact on the support form and they send an email asking for me to read the terms and to update my APK number and submit again, I read the terms, I already had complied with everything so I replied saying that, we already comply with everyhting and we tested the APK and OBB installation and game play, all good, please send more details, they replied copying and pasting the same message, I once more insisted and asked for them to explain the problem, they replied asking for update my APK version and submit again, I said this will solve no crashes, please explain what is the problem and the support called Sara highlighted in the message asking to update the APK version, kind of talking with a machine that do not responded what I asked, but I updated my APK version, submitted again and... Worked. Why? For some reason they will not explain, my guess is they just marked my APK as dirty as an attempt to remove apps that the developers don't update, there's no other logical thing I can think off.
Second App: This one I didn't had a happy end as the previous one, I tried the technique of updating the APK version 6 times, none worked, I asked help on the form (many times), they just copy and paste the message about read the Terms, I started to insist for some details, provided them with many proves that my APK+OBB files sent to Google Play are working fine, and asked for any clue about this "problem", like a device model and Android Version that they experienced it (isn't the minimum they suppose to provide us?) but after requesting this many times, for the first time the support guy called Arthur didn't copied and pasted and finally wrote an email, his answer was:
Hi Developer,
Thanks again for contacting the Google Play Team.
As much as I'd like to help, due to policy, I’m not able to provide any more information or a better answer to your question. In our previous email, I made sure to include all the information available to me.
If you have a different question about Google Play policies, please let me know.
Regards,
Arthur
The Google Play Team
It means, he has no information at all about what is the problem, I've trying to solve this for 2 months, our flagship game is threatened of been removed from the store and they can't even explain why, the support team can just copy and paste a generic message without any understanding of our problem and we have no other channel to ask for help.
I'm really disappointed with Google for such poor support for developers.
Hope you can solve your problem updating your APK and submitting again, otherwise you can enter on the same loop as me.
Good luck!

"Package file is invalid" & "Unknown error code during application install -24" on google play store

Question :
We have posted one app for Hong Kong Market and when users try to download the app it always gives an error named as "Package file is invalid". So for testing we did enable the app for India but here we are getting the same error. Please help us out
"Replay from Google support"
Thank you for your patience while we've investigated this issue.
It appears that installations are failing due to your app's incompatibility with some devices that are running Gingerbread or Froyo. This issue has been discussed at length in multiple developer forums. To find out how to make your app work better with older devices with smaller buffers, please check developer discussions by searching 'dexopt failed gingerbread froyo' on forums listed at http://developer.android.com/support.html. Here you can find links to developer support forums and IRC chat communities where developers help each other solve development-related issues.
Unfortunately our team does not have the capacity to offer development advice on per-app basis. However, if you find that installs are still failing on Gingerbread or Froyo after implementing the changes we mentioned, please let us know, and we'll investigate further.
Thank you for your understanding. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Send one more reply on same but not get anything right now
Question :
I am still getting an error after downloading the application from play store. I have also checked with manifest file here is my SDK setting.
android:minSdkVersion="11"
android:targetSdkVersion="18"
It's downloaded successfully from there but at the time of installing the app we getting again the same error " Package file is invalid ".
This is happened first time but when I try second time to install on same device at that time we are getting different error "Unknown error code during application install -24".
You will need to clear your Google Play's data and cache. To do this:
Go your device's Settings menu.
Go to Applications (may also be labeled Application Manager).
Tab over to All Applications.
Open the Google Play Store app.
Tap on Clear Data and Clear Cache.
Relaunch Google Play and install or update the our app again.

Android Licensing (LVL) keeps returning Retry (code 291) after publishing app

I recently made an update to an existing (paid) app I have had published on Google Play for a while. While I was working on the new version, I thought I'd implement the Google Licensing Verification Library. I followed the instructions from Google at http://developer.android.com/guide/market/licensing/adding-licensing.html . Had things working pretty well at this point - when I changed the test response in the Google Play Developer Console I got a different result in my app. Great!
Then I published this new version.
I installed the signed APK (it's a paid app so I didn't want to download it from Google Play) on my phone (had been testing it on that very same device all along). Now things didn't work at all. I got the "Retry" result from the licensing service all the time. I mean for hours. I went back and fiddled with the source code, changed all kinds of things, nothing worked. The Licensing library always timed out (got a "Check timed out." in from the library in LogCat).
I searched everywhere for an answer, but it wasn't until I ran across this discussion ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566770 ) and read it to it's very final post that I found the solution.
From the above mentioned post:
"I have just had this issue too & deleting the Google Play Application
data (Settings, Applications, choose Google Play & press Clear Data )
fixed it for me. Clearing Cache is not sufficient. Ihe only impact I
saw of doing this (apart from my App now working again) is that you
have to re-accept Google Play T&C etc when you next use that app and
my search history had gone."
I did it, it worked, and now everything is back to working!
I had the same issue with an app downloaded from google Play Store. In my case the problem was not the storage or cache as in the other answer. I had the Google Play Store Background-Data-Usage restricted, which prevented this API from working. After enabling background data usage, everything worked just fine.
