ExifInterface not working with files from sdcard

So I have some code to choose an image from phone gallery and display it in an ImageView and also use it's URI in ExifInterface and get the exif data.
But it seems that, only works for the images in internal storage and not for external storage like sdcard.
So here is what I got:
I have a button that when it's clicked, First it checkes to see if the app has READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission and if not it asks for it.
After it's granted with the permission it launches the function below :

The showExif doesn't work when selecting an image from external storage and also I get this error:
W/ImageView: resolveUri failed on bad bitmap uri: content://com.google.android.apps.photos.contentprovider/-1/1/content....
Can Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?!

Ok I found a solution and it works fine for me!
Instead of using ACTION_PICK I used ACTION_GET_CONTENT like this:

Android Image Share to Another App Where is problem?

Im doing an app and i want to share photo just i saved to phone to another apps like instagram twitter.Im not able to do it and i cant see where the mistake is.Here is my code

Overwrite data in firebase database

I try to make an storage where i can save my image in firebase storage but everytime i upload a new image it will replace the old one,i want evertime a new image will be save on storage,i am on android studio using kotlin,Is my code is wrong?here is my code

Since you're always calling uploadImageToStorage("my image"), the image will alway be called my image. So each time you make that call, it will overwrite the previous my image in storage.
To always add a new image, generate a unique filename in your code. For example:
uploadImageToStorage(UUID.randomUUID().toString())

I want to upload a logo picked in gallery to our api via multipart.
I am using multipartFile method from the networking library witch take a File in parameter: uploading a file to server
The File object can take an Uri as constructor.
With the uri received from the gallery return, i can display the image in a ImageView, but the uri or uri.path cause FileNotFoundException when passed in FileConstructor. (internet, read, write permissions are declared in manifest)

How to get the real path to the file to put in parameter of File constructor ?

Kotlin: Exoplayer is not playing the video

I am learning Kotlin and Exoplayer and I am making an app that allows the user to select a video and play it on the next screen. However, after starting Intent, the selected video is not played.

How to resolve this error? Thanks in advance.

The error was simple ...
Just request READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permissions
This can be easily resolved with the Dexter library.
Maybe this can help someone
