how to make transparent layout with background image in android?

Same question was asked here but I am not getting proper solution over there?. Anyone here who can get me out from this problem. I want to achieve scrolling content below the toolbar. I've added image in the background of top layout but when I scroll the content white color over the content comes out.

How to set the max height of a list view

I have 3 vertical parts on the screen:
Some texts
Listview
Some more text fields
I don't understand why when there are more elements in the listview, it takes the whole screen to the bottom without leaving place for the 3rd part and makes this 3rd part unreachable and not visible.

I am sure you can find a solution only using the constraint layout and removing your linear layouts altogether but I don't know enough about ConstraintLayout to help you there. However you can give weights to the elements inside your Outermost LinearLayout. e.g. assign android:weightSum="3" to your outermost LinearLayout and then android:layout_weight="1" to the inner elements (in your case the other LinearLayouts)

Android LinearLayout weights switched

I have som nestd layouts, and nested weights (don't know, if source of problem, just saying), and in the lowest layer, my weights are switched up.
Meaning that TextView has weight 1, and ImageView has weight 2, and it does look correct in the preview, but when I build it, it's switched, and the TextView has weight 2, and the ImageView has weight 1.

Scrollview inside viewpager scroll vertical not working

Below is my code but its not working properly, want a viewpager with scrollview in all fragment. Each view take parent event first if your view pager is swipe horizonatly for change the page tab than you can not use horizonatl scroll in child fragment . It is not write practice you can arrange your page content as vertical and use vertical scroll view.
Or second option you will have to disable swipe event for view pager and only tab click is uesd to change page than you can use horizontal scroll view.

I trying adding it but it either covered the whole screen or it would occupy a part of layout completly

Your problem can be solved using an relative layout that wraps the view where you want the LoadingView to be on top of, ex:
