How to add Google analytics for expo app (Android)? - android

So I was trying to add google analytics to my expo app. In the process it provided me a google-serivces.json file to put it in the root directory of the app. The problem is, I already have a google-services.json file in my root directory that i got while integrating push notification for the app. Now, how can i use the services json file in app for the analytics?
Tried looking everywhere for the solution, yet no luck!

Below blog will help you just check it.

Am I supposed to edit the google-services.json file?

I got an email from Google that says:
We have detected a publicly accessible Google API key associated with the following Google Cloud Platform project
and they point at the api key inside my google-services.json file and at a url of someone hosting my apk.
The google-services.json file is just what I got when following the Firebase instructions and put it where it said to put it. So did I do something wrong?
No you are not supposed to edit it, you have to restrict it.
Note that if you are using Android Studio, you can get the signing report see this accepted answer here.

Push firebase project to open github repo?

I want to push a firebase project to an open source github repo. However, I want to secure it, I want to hide the path to database so that no one can read or write to it.
Is there a certain file in my project I shouldn't include in the repo?
Thanks in advance
You should avoid including the google-services.json file.
If you want to conceal the details of your project, don't check in google-services.json, which is the general advice for open source Android projects that use Firebase.
If you publish a version of your app to the Play store, it can be decompiled, and the contents of your google-services.json effectively become public. So, if you are concerned about security, you should mostly pay attention to your app's security rules to make sure that random people cannot read and write data that they shouldn't.

Google-service.json is same as credentials.json?

I am making an android application that needs Google sign in API integration,
After configuring the Project I got credentials.json however all over internet people are referring to google-service.json. I am getting status code 10. I want to know whether google-service.json is credentials.json or I am making a mistake here.
No, they are not the same.
The google-services.json file is necessary for Google sign-in. Look at this question (particularly the second answer) to help you get signed in.

GoogleAnalytics in AndroidStudio

I have an existing Android Project existing for years now, also included with GoogleAnalytics. Now I come to migrate the project to AndroidStudio.
I followed the Instructions : https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/android/v4/ , but I am stuck at "Get a configuration file", which I do not understand. In this step they want me register a new app and I get the following form. How can I choose my already existing App. I know my Packagename, but for the Appname I am not sure. And if I would fill in the correct names, would I be able to choose my existing App ? I do not want to create a new App in GOogle Play Console, because I fear everything is destroyed.
How to get the google-services.json without overwriting (destroying) my already existing App in GooglePlay Store
Google highly recommend to use firebase instead of google analytics. All manuals and guidelines are changed for easy to use firebase implementation.
Firebase is much mire better than google analytics for mobile app development.

Can't get a configuration file(google-services.json)

I have tried so many times to access https://developers.google.com/mobile/add
but I can't.
when I access the site, I just see circle progress thing, and it never disappears.
Is there a problem in google or my account has the problem?
Thank you.
My app is already in Play Store using older version of Google analytics and I have the similar problem with the endless spinning circle when I try to update my app and download the file google-services.json....
I double check my analytic property and the Google Play Console etc, try it on different platforms, browsers...
And then I realize that the document said "Google Developer Console".
I login in https://console.developers.google.com
and create a project for my app after I done that I am able to get the google-services.json from
https://developers.google.com/mobile/add
