Controlling margins of Android Chronometer

I have a layout with a Chronometer between 2 TextView:

I've tried everything but Chronometer seems to create a margin between it and its surroundings.
Do you have any idea how to remove those gap?

You can have negative margins for your items.
so for your bottom TextView you can have layout_marginTop="-25" or whatever margin is needed.

How can I horizontally align two Textviews without overlapping?

I'm trying to put an N (new) badge at the end of the Textview. But Android Studio gives me that two Textviews, hashtag_list_row_title and hashtag_list_row_new can overlap if one Textview contains some lengthy string.
In production environment, it's not likely that hashtag_list_row_title is long, but I want to prevent two Textviews from being overlapped. How can I achieve this?
I prefer the way hashtag_list_row_new has priority over hashtag_list_row_title because that's more natural way to display an N badge.

Textview on the right side should place right next to the left one, which has varying length. And I want to prevent the situation where the left one gets longer beyond certain length so that the right one is hidden, or overlapped, or whatever.
It should look as below.

I want the left TextView to be ellipsized when it's beyond the width of the row except for N badge. I want this.

N badge should not be placed on the right side all the time. I want the badge to be placed right next to the left TextView when the length is shorter than horizontal width.

What you want is the right side TextView to have:

It's a strange behaviour.
Try to set the content of the 'stepTwo' to the 'stepThree'.
If the same issue appeared, so the problem from the TextView.
You should check if you modify the padding of 'stepThree' textView programmatically.

In android Text View, when you try to render the subscript, the text gets clipped at the top and bottom. To avoid this, you can try to set the text from HTML.
Example.

If your views in RelativeLayout follow these steps:
1- wrap your view that wants to be aligned in the center of target view in Framelayout.
2- move all layout attributes to FrameLayout.
3- set layout_align_top and layout_align_bottom (or start and end if horizontal) to target view.
4- set layout_gravity to center_vertical (or horizontal) to child of Frame layout

How to get Side by Side textviews with one that wraps

I have a listview with a custom adapter in which I have 3 textviews, two are next to each other and one is below the others. The problem I am running into though, is when the first textview extends, it pushes the other textview off the screen.
I have not been able to successfully get this to work, here is an example of what's happening:
As you can see when the first textview gets too long, it then pushes the other text off the screen. I would like it so it wraps but the date textview is also showing. It should also be functional in horizontal view.
Here's the listview adapter code:

I am assuming that the text view being pushed is the liDate one.
You need to put this one before the liName in your layout and set the width to "wrap_content" and align it right. Then you lace the liName to the left of it with "fill_parent" width
So it would look like this:

The key was using "#+id/" for the first textview instead of "#id/"
