i am building an application in which i want the Activity to have a bottomBar and each item of it to be a fragment. The first fragment should have a viewpager. Everything works fine except the fact that TabLayout and Toolbar do not have the same height.
The problem is:

I have tried this answer but it was not successful. I cannot put the tablayout in the Appbarlayout(which solves the problem) because every fragment will have a tablayout.
Any other ideas to solve this problem?
You need to include it in the AppbarLayout so, to do that Add the TabLayout to toolbarTop.xml file below the toolbar.

Now when I use this fragment into this ViewPager the bottombar is hidden under the NavigationBar and when I scroll up it will displayed.
My question is: How can I lock the bottombar always visible?
Your ViewPager has a height equals of the parent.
android:layout_height="match_parent"
Change it for wrap_content
Note: In your case you also need to set the layout_gravity of it to "bottom" since else it would start on 0,0 of a FrameLayout.
Or better, to fit all remaining space, change your FrameLayout to LinearLayout with android:orientation="vertical"
Then add layout_weight="1" to your ViewPager.
I have made Toolbar using coordinate toolbar in my app so that i can hide toolbar while scrolling . I also have ViewPager inside it . So when user scroll only Toolbar hides and tabs stick to the top . But in other activity i just want to display toolbar what is the better way to that ?

If you just want to display Toolbar inside other Activities, you can add the Toolbar to any root layout of the respective Activity like LinearLayout or RelativeLayout (which ever suits your app's needs).
I have a recyclerview inside a viewpager. I also have Tabs above that and a toolbar. I'd like to collapse those (or one of those I have to try it out) when I move the recyclerView down. Basically the same as here.
I'm having trouble to get this to work.

I added this to the toolbar :

Then it works. The issue though is that when the statusbar is transparent the text behind the toolbar is visible. So the statusbar has to have a color.

It's a little faint in the picture, but the blue box is after the toolbar.
It puts the ViewPager after the ToolBar and TabBar, but the height extends too much. I want the height to fill the parent.
If I remove the layout behavior it works, but I don't know how much the marginTop should be (there's the ActionBar's height + TabBar's height).

The behavior is because of your current configuration of the app:layout_scrollFlags. If you don't android to push the ViewPager down set it to an empty String app:layout_scrollFlags="". You can change its behavior afterwards if you need/have/want to.
you should wrap the AppBarLayout and the ViewPager in the CoordinatorLayour and add app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior" to the ViewPager. That line does the trick. Avoid that the content of your ViewPager goes behind the Toolbar/TabLayout
I'm working on a tab activity in my app, but it seems that the tabs are using the wrong height (thinking the layout is about half an inch taller than it is on any device) and as a result any vertical centering is off on the low side, and my scrollviews are messed up because the screen won't scroll far enough down to see the bottom of the view. I have tried tinkering with the layout_height on any relevant class I can think of and hiding the tabs, but nothing helps and I cant find this problem anywhere else. I generated the default template for a TabLayout activity in Android Studio 1.4.
